Wrap Up and Thoughts About My 2013 Fake Journal

Well, once again I started a fake journal with a good idea and the intention to carry it through to the end.  And once again procrastination (my specialty), and underestimating the amount of time and frustration involved in finding suitable subjects and views on Google Maps, resulted in too many missed days.

I still think that "Guy" was a good idea, and a perfect character for a fake journal.   I really enjoyed doing the pages that I did finish.  As in my previous fake journals, I had fun injecting some humor into the text, and I think I succeeded.

I think for next year's fake journal (yes, I'm game to do this again!) I will try to stick to a subject that I can just sketch and write about without relying so much upon what I can find on the computer.

P.S.  Sorry Joan, I never did get Guy to settle down to sketching in Ireland.

  1. Hey, sketching a few days is better than no sketching at all! Lovely pages that you did...

  2. I used Guy today and thought of you!
Maybe you can research before (Jan-March?) then do the sketching on the specific day in April?

  3. Hi Michelle,
What a cool concept for your IFJ. Loved your pages. I started but spontaneously signed up for an 8 week online workshop. It was really fun though so no regrets, but next year for sure. I look forward to see what you do next time.

    Cheers
